Mike Shapiro, AKA, The 60s Rock Guy is actually a Sixties rock guy.  Please read this article on Mike. Mike comes from San Francisco where he had quite a reputation for playing the 60s music and was a favorite at Irish Bars and Blues clubs like John Lee Hookers Boom Boom Room, The Saloon, Lou’s Pier 47, Irelands 32, John Foley’s Irish House and many more.  Playing all these different venues led him to blend all the styles into his repertoire to satisfy the diverse tourist tastes.  Mike came up with a musical mix that just about anyone loves including the younger generations.

In the 60s he was in one of the most popular band name of William Penn and his Pals that created a cult classic named Swami that Mike wrote and Gregg Rolie (Santana and Journey later) sang lead on.  They used to open up for the likes of Paul Revere and the Raiders,  The Dave Clark Five and The Animals.  They played the same bills as The Greatful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Creedence and Big Brother ( the last 2 actually opened up for William Penn ).  Hire Mike and you will have an actual 60s icon playing 60s music in your venue.
